Equipment Specialist Course
Don’t miss a dive due to a scuba gear issue. Whether it’s a blown O-ring, regulator problem, stuck zip or a broken fin strap, you can learn how to manage basic scuba equipment adjustments.
As a PADI Equipment Specialist, you're prepared for the basic scuba equipment maintenance, care and adjustments you’ll encounter every day with your own kit. In addition, you’ll learn interesting background information about how your gear is made, how it works, how it’s repaired and other information that helps you with your equipment investment.
The Fun Part
The more you know about how your dive gear works, the more comfortable you are with it. During the course you'll actually get to strip down your own gear and take care of it properly, plus you'll be shown other manufactures kit as well.
What You'll learn:
• Review the theory, principles and operation of scuba diving equipment.
• Learn about routine, recommended care and maintenance procedures, and equipment storage.
• Learn what's involved in the inspection process of a Scuba Cylinder
• How to overcome common problems with your own equipment and recommended professional maintenance procedures (this includes a service or repair of your own regulators*).
• Learn about compressor operation and fill two of your own cylinders while on-site for free!
Prerequisites: Open Water or Junior Open Water Certification
