DM Scuba Dive Computer and Watch Battery Replacement Service
Battery replacement and pressure testing for all Suunto, newer models of Uwatec, Mares, Dive Rite, VR Technologies, Citizen, Aqualand, Casio and other various computer models and dive watches by a qualified service technician using only genuine replacement parts.
Battery replacement should be performed every two years or more often depending on the dive activity. Some lithium batteries may run out unexpectedly, which cannot be tested in advance.
The life expectancy of a normal full battery at 20°C (68°F) is the following:
100 - 200 dives/year -> 2 years
200 - 400 dives/year -> 1 year
At DM Scuba all work is carried out by our qualified service technician, and all computers have new battery O-rings fitted and are pressure tested before being returned to the customer. Some dive computers have user replaceable batteries, but if you're not happy doing it yourself we can do this for you and pressure test it as well.
Suunto Dive Computers
Your Suunto warranty is valid for two years from the date of purchase. If for any reason your watch needs to be returned under warranty, we can forward that on for you.
Service by Post
We can generally do a 24hr turn around on all computers and watches. We also offer a postal service as well, send us your computer (we suggest via an insured and recorded delivery service) and we'll get it done that day and sent back out via a Next Day Royal Mail Special insured delivery at cost.
Important Note - Old rubber and plastic wrist straps
We have noticed an increased amount of broken straps on watches being sent through the post, please do not package your watch in a jiffy or thin mail bag. To save any crush damage, please always send your watch or dive computer in a sturdy well padded box.
Watch straps get very brittle and crack over time and will not survive being posted. We can fit new straps but cannot be responsible for damage while in transit. All damage claims must go through the relevant courier service.
