Regular servicing of your scuba equipment is very important to ensure safe, reliable performance and to ensure your expensive kit has a long life. If you're planning a dive trip or holiday, we would strongly recommend that you have your dive equipment serviced well in advance, and that you use it prior to departing on your trip. Regulators in particular can require a final tweak in adjustment to achieve their optimum performance.
Regulators should be serviced at regular intervals depending upon the time and amount of use they have. Furthermore, as some manufacturers offer a lifetime guarantee with their products, it is important to keep the servicing up to date.
Cylinders have test dates and are subject to various regulations, if your cylinder is out of date or in poor condition you probably won't be able to get it filled anywhere.
DM Scuba want to ensure that you're 100% happy with your kit and that it's been serviced to your satisfaction. We offer a full equipment servicing and repairs service. Our cylinder testing is carried out by independently trained IDEST technicians to British Standards. All work is carried out to manufacturer’s specifications using genuine parts and trained servicing personnel.
Our technicians have over 30 years experience in the industry and are fully qualified engineers by trade so you know your kit is in safe hands.
The DM Scuba testing facility is periodically inspected by IDEST engineers to make sure the methods and statements laid out in our documentation are adhered to. Our engineers are also periodically assessed in their competence. Feel free to ask to see our certifications as well as the centre documentation.
Servicing times do vary but we aim to have your equipment serviced and returned to you within one week. However, this time may increase if parts are unavailable or if demand for servicing is unusually high during the peak seasons of the dive calendar.
Please advise us in advance should you require a faster turnaround time, generally we can do this at no extra cost.
